I went over to the St. Matthias Parish Carnival in Somerset, NJ on Saturday, May 20th. I had actually gone to this fair last year but never did a report on it for whatever reason; maybe I’ll post the photos from last year sometime. Anyway, I got to the fair at around quarter after 7 Trip Report: St. Matthias Parish Carnival 2017

The hometown’s fair, Our Lady of Peace Parish’s Country Fair, came around from May 10th to May 13th. Something like a week before the fair started, I saw several ride trucks parked in the lot when I biked out that way. Interestingly, one of the racked rides looked like a dark ride that wasn’t setup at the Trip Report: Our Lady of Peace Country Fair 2017

I headed out to my first fair of the year on Saturday, April 29th – the Middlesex Fire Dept Fair in Middlesex, NJ. I headed over at like 8:30pm and parked in the nearby high school’s faculty parking lot, which wasn’t that full despite the fair being crowded. The rides were brought in by Campys Trip Report: Middlesex Fire Dept Fair 2017

I headed down to some of the southern shore points in New Jersey this past weekend (January 28 & 29 to be exact) to see what was going on. Here’s what I saw. Looks like construction is mostly completed of Morey’s Piers’ big off season project in the re-tracking of Fly – The Great Nor’Easter. January 2017 Jersey Shore Updates

I headed over to New York City on Sunday January 1st, New Years Day, to go on a little sightseeing excursion. I always like taking a walking trip to the city around this time, before all of the holiday decorations are taken down. It’s also nice to just go and walk around with no real destination Trip Report: New York City – January 2017
