It’s time for TheDoD3’s annual list of fairs and carnivals in New Jersey, Southern New York and Eastern Pennsylvania; this time for 2013!

I have a feeling State Fair Meadowlands is gonna suck (with just Amusements of America) this year. They won’t have my fave ride and they won’t have another ride company with a few select rides as last 2 years with both AoA and Strates. I’m hoping they won’t hold back like they did back from 2006 to 2010.
We’ll see. If Meadowlands is still doing the independent midway setup, then other operators may be booked in along with AoA.
Well, only time will tell. Maybe they might have Reithoffer there this year. Who knows? If you happen to go there before the July 4, let me know what’s there 🙂

Hey Brian are you familiar with the NYC Electric Daisy Carnival? It first ever last year at MetLife Stadium. And this year it’s at the Citi Field (formerly Shea Stadium)
Dreamland Amusements hosted their rides for that event as you can see their pics and vids from last year’s event.
I’m not sure if this counts as a carnival to you..though it’s an 18 or over event

Nah, that’s basically a rave with some rides. It’s a $119-139 bucks to get in. Not worth it for some carnival rides and certainly not worth it to hear some annoying, popular electronic. lol
I just drove by OVERLOOK PARK in Ridgefield Park, NJ and saw that they are setting up a nice big Carnival… anyone know anything about it? Noticed no listing of it here or anywhere online when I googled it.

Hey Brian, just found your site. Love it. For those of us with bad eyes and feeble minds, any way you could post a listing by date? It would be so much easier to add events to my calendar, especially since the list is alphabetized by actual names, most of which have nothing to do with their locations. PS – did the No. Brunswick Fest yesterday (Thu) for the first time. I was pretty impressed with rides and food. Will definitely do it again next year.

I’ve just been informed while talking with Mike (Blue Sky Amusements) on FB and he told me their next spot will be in Kearny, where they played earlier this year in the Spring. It’ll run from October 10th through the 13th.And even better news for me, the Zipper is scheduled to be there. Although I’m looking forward to it. Yep, the Mercer County Italian Fest won’t be the final fair of 2013! 🙂

Mike told me it will be at the small park, next to Applebee’s on Passaic Ave (between Afton St and Bergen Ave) right alongside the Passaic river
