I was down at the shore house in Brick for a couple of days in mid/late July. My main task at the house was killing off a wasp nest that had taken up residence right next to the front door, but I stayed on Friday to just take in the summertime at the shore. There’s lots of Italian festivals around New Jersey and New York, usually held around the feast day of a certain saint or religious figure. Mid-July see’s several “Our Lady of Mount Carmel” festivals in the tri-state area, with the Berkeley Heights festival being the one I’ve been to the most over the years. I headed over to the North Brunswick Youth Sports Festival on Saturday, June 16th. This is probably the third or fourth largest fair in New Jersey with a massive midway, lots of shows, food and retail vendors, and music. I went to the State Fair Meadowlands on two nights this year. The first night was on Friday, June 29th, with a few of my cousins and the second was on Tuesday, July 3rd for photos and video. Rides were brought in by Amusements of America, Strates Shows, and some independent operators.
