Six Flags did make it more colorful by adding the Twix ads. What more do you want? lol

Funny enough, the path between the two areas was one of the more ornately themed areas of the park with temple walls, shrubbery, and plexiglass windows that looked into the tiger enclosure. They ended up removing the tigers and closing a small children's area on the path which left it barren of any attractions. It kind of does open during Fright Fest, but as a walk through haunt.

Movie Town and Old Country are my biggest gripes right now. I guess they can get away with having Old Country closed off, but Movie Town literally just has Batman and the Dark Knight with a ton of space to plop something, anything, in. Again, the area sees more life during Fright Fest as they put the Dead Man's Party stage near the abandoned Batman Stunt Show arena. They also open up the path to where Chiller was as a walk through haunt and shows at the Showcase Theater are back there.

I did wonder why there is no path from the kingdom to carnival or at least the "other" part of the golden kingdom before you enter the plaza del carnival..hopefully they add more to that area to make it look as nice as it did when it first opened..just looks bare and incomplete now..yes movietown is in need of a re-do..would be nice to just make it Gotham city and expand into the old old world area thats closed off now

They've stepped it up in the past several years. It's a shame they had to get rid of all those flats (didn't want to spend the $$ hiring more so they just left them closed) but I feel like they've done a lot of good in that area as well as cleaning the park up in general. There's still some legit gripes, like neglecting Movietown and not having the path between Golden Kingdom and Plaza del Carnival open (which might change next year) but complaints about Looping Dragon or not getting [insert coaster type here] are nuts.

About KK and Zumanjaro, that seems likely. NJ is one of the toughest states regarding amusement ride inspections. Insurance is probably another factor. Something hitting anyone would be an easy lawsuit if someone wished to pursue it. It's so bad that Zumanjaro even has these flap things that rise up to form a roof over passengers getting on the ride. Although, I guess after seeing the roofs around Sky Screamer, maybe it's not such a crazy thing to have. lol

I had my first visit back to Great Adventure in a few years just this past August and was impressed with the park..I was not so impressed with my previous visits( those were the days of all the "new" flats never being open and Batman and Robin never being open along with Viper)..kind of a shame the way to improve the park was to get rid of everything and not fix them but oh well it makes that park seem complete now..heavy crowds but I did have fun still..as for the Kingda Ka/Zumanjaro operation..i read on another site that when the state inspected the new ride..they deemed it unsafe to operate both rides at the same time for some stupid reason so that why they take turns..worried about falling objects from the coaster..bs i know
