Theres a version of this ride produced by Mulligan (they mainly make traveling ferris wheels) called the twister swing. its basically this, but the crown dosent tilt, and the chairs are mounted on cables. the cables twist during the ride, so you usually spend most of the ride sideways or backwards. its very disorienting! the only company in the US (that im aware of) that owns on is Elliot’s Amusements of Michigan, but i dont think it travels outside of the state.

In reply to Chris. Sorry to hear about your friend. I live in Upstate New York in the middle of the state It's nothing like New York City. This year only I have noticed quite a few of these cave crickets or camel crickets in the basement. They're usually by the sink where the washer water goes into. Or they're on the wall or if I go downstairs and turn the light on they going hide underneath the washer or dryer. I finally killed one yesterday and I was going to show someone what it was and when I went down there nothing was left of it except one of the legs and what appeared to be a very long wing. I have no idea what it was that ate the dead cricket.

I was laughing hysterically when I read this article because can totally relate to all of the fears of the writers. It really is like a private war. My husband used to take care of them but passed away six years ago so I knew I had to put on my big girl pants and come up with a plan. After smashing them with a broom or using a fly swatter which did not always work I found out about a peppermint spray called Mighty Mint. The spray can cover about 5 feet so I don’t have to get too close. It will stun them for a moment and before they regain stamina I just keep spraying. After a moment they die. I keep a bottle on each floor of my home and always know where they are so I can get to them quickly to start my attack before they disappear. So far so good. I so relieved there are others out there with the same fear. Thought I

first time i boarded this i was ~9yrs old with a classmate..

the 6’4″ 260lb carny in a wifebeater asks us “you kids wanna spin?” after latching the door.

i swear there’s no combination of people on earth that could possibly have made more spins on a single running rock-o-plane cycle as many times that operator spun our cage at the loading ramp while the ride was otherwise stationary. lordy.

The original crew on the Polar Express, was Jacko, Paul Bobby, Hippy,Severn Green Eyes, Melvin, Felix and Brian/aka Preacher. in 1974 Bobby, Hippy and Green Eyes were gone Rebel, Freddy,George and Bigman (Ruben) started working on the ride. You’re correct Bigman was the leader of Homicide Inc. Severn was the leader of the Brooklyn Brothers, Rebel was a member of the Devil Rebels and Preacher ran a crew within the Homicides known as the Homicide Brothers or HBz. I remember Ronnie, he was a cheap bastard and his wife at the time blonde hair always kind and friendly when speaking to me. Ronnie drove a green Eldorado and spent most of his time in the travel trailer behind the polar. we utilized one of the two tractor trailers, as a place to sleep, have meetings and fuck.

Willie’s was across the ally and the Polar was to the left of the Thunderbolt, the tunnel of love was also across and to the left of the polar. I worked there from 1973 until 1977 the year,I joined the Marine Corps. at the time of employment the polar was located on the Bowery between West 15th and 16th respectively.

Additionally: Mario and Caco worked there around 75/76 and were still there after my leaving. Ronnie I think was from Florida wish would explained the shirts he always wore. I started working on the Polar in 1973 I was 12 years of age and the Polar always drew the largest crowds
